November 2025 Meeting

We had great turnout for our November meeting, and we also had an excellent program on contemporary counterfeits with a focus on US coins. It was interesting to hear about the different methods of making a counterfeit coin that would "pass" and that some of the cruder methods relied on poor lighting and poor eyesight to even have a chance of being accepted.

Our December meeting will be held on the 11th at 7:00PM, and will be our annual Pizza Pig Out and Wooden Nickel Auction. State law (the "Stop Agonizing Numismatic Traditions Abuse", or SANTA Act of 2025) compels me to state the following:

  • The meeting will start 30 minutes early - at 7:00 instead of 7:30.

  • We ask for a $5 contribution per person for the pizza (it's worth it!).

  • We also ask each member to donate about $5-10 worth on numismatic stuff for the auction - dig deep in that junk box!

  • And bring the wooden nickels you earned throughout the year - they are the "money" for the auction and won't be good next year so spend, spend, SPEND.

We look forward to seeing everybody there to help us close out 2025.
