We held our September meeting on the 8th, where we had an excellent presentation on Pioneer Gold (privately minted gold coins struck during the gold rushes in North Carolina, Georgia, and of course California). With several of our recent topics, we have seen that what might at first seem to be a small fringe of numismatics has a fascinating story that is worth knowing even if we never choose to collect the coins. Next month we will have a mystery topic (no, really, we don't know what's coming our way) so Show and Tell will be anything you care to pull out of your Magical Mystery Collections. Hope to see everybody there on October 13th.
