OK, OK, somehow Your Obedient Blogger managed to not post a report from our August meeting. Apologies to all and especially to Tom who gave an excellent presentation on Canadian provincial coins, eh?
Zooming into the present (well, all right, the recent past) in September we were treated to an overview of ancient Greek coins than managed to be both wide ranging and focused. It's a huge subject, and Harry served as an able and informative guide.
In October we're going to try something a little different. Instead of a single presentation or topic we're asking each member to bring in a recent acquisition, a favorite coin, or I guess anything really (I mean, how are we going to know?) and give a two minute or so talk. No slides, video, or other special effects needed (and remember, they don't let us have explosives after the Great Indian Head Penny / Cent War of 2016 anyway). So bring in something memorable, unique, fascinating, or just downright odd and let us know all about it on October 14th at 7:30.
And, in the likely event that I forget, here is the first of what will probably be many reminders that our November meeting will be on the first Thursday (which is the 4th).
