At our November meeting we reunited with two former members and had several new guests - welcome to all! The presentation on "The Century of Progress - World's Fair of 1933 and 1934" was very well received.
As is our tradition, there will be no program next month as we will have our Holiday meeting which is a not-so-traditional pizza party and wooden nickel auction. We ask that you bring a numismatic-related item to contribute to the auction (keep the value under $10 please!). Also remember to bring the tower of wooden nickles you have accumulated throughout the year. Note that the meeting will start at 7PM instead of the usual 7:30. We hope to see you all at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover on December 14th!
My understanding is that Dover's noise pollution laws are still strictly enforced, so there will be NO singing of such classics as "Jingle Coins", "O Little Mint of Bethlehem", or even "Rudolph the Red Book Reindeer". You have been warned.
