We held our May meeting on the 13th at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover. The topic of the evening was hoards (as in "of coins", as opposed to "groups of screaming barbarians"), with a focus on the Redfield and Binion hoards of silver dollars. We had a very knowledgeable new member (thanks for joining!) add tidbits regarding the Randall hoard of large cents, and just by cosmic coincidence your obedient blogger happened to have an example for Show and Tell (an event which, I'm reliably informed, has used up the club's ration of good luck for the year). A few months ago we had an initial installment of a presentation on counterfeits, and on June 10th it will continue with the cleverly titled "Part 2". One of the members brought in a huge group of examples last time for Show and Tell, so we'll have to dig deep for more on-topic material this time (of course, off-topic is always welcome at Show and Tell too). Hope to see everybody there!
