A new decade and it's back to business (almost) as usual. President Tom had to miss the meeting due to an injury, and I know we all wish him a speedy recovery - and, there is no basis to the rumor that one of his giant stacks of tokens fell on him. Nope. None whatsoever.

Your Obedient Blogger gave a presentation covering military themes on ancient coins, which was a very broad topic since the ancients spent a lot of time hacking each other into pieces the size of candy corn. In February, the topic will be silver Washington quarters (interestingly, the earlier Washington tokens / medals / what have you were the subject of an article in this months' Numismatist). I think Show and Tell is a grab bag again, although bringing something related to the theme shouldn't be too difficult (silver... or Washington... or quarters - c'mon!). Hope to see you there on the 13th at 7:30.
