February 2026 Meeting

We had another strong turnout for our February meeting. The topic was error coins, and the presentation was especially interesting since it focused on types of errors other than the well-known double dies.

There are some great numismatic stories that are probably too narrow to support a full presentation. In March we will talk about three of these: ancient coins depicting silphium, Swedish emergency money of the early 1700s, and US rationing tokens from World War 2. This scope makes it kind of difficult to pick a theme for show and tell so we'll go with "whatever you want to bring" (if you noticed that this is what we always do anyway, give yourself 10 utterly worthless bonus points). Looking forward to a great meeting on March 12th at 7:30 at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover, and we hope to see everyone there!
