Ahhh... I just got this one in before the month ended. In February we had a very interesting presentation on John Law and the Mississippi Bubble, which would be a great name for a band. This scheme to rejuvenate the French economy with paper and credit was an excellent example of the intersection between history, economics, and numismatics. On a similar theme in March our topic will be the United States Trade Dollar, which maybe wasn't quite the debacle that conventional wisdom says it was. As usual, Show and Tell will be anything you want to pry out of your collection. We've had good (and growing!) turnout these last few months, so we hope to see all the old and new members on the 10th at 7:30 at the Modern Maturity Center.
