We had our November meeting on the 8th, and we were treated to an excellent presentation on early US dollars. Our December meeting will be the by-now-almost-traditional holiday thing, which as always requires the following reminders and thinly veiled threats:

1. The meeting will start at 7 instead of 7:30.

2. We will be having pizza. If past years are any indication we will have a LOT of pizza (Your Obedient Blogger is planning on a light lunch).

3. Round up all of your wooden nickels, including the ones you've been using to stabilize those wobbly table legs, because...

4. We will be having our wooden nickel auction, which requires you to dig deep into your personal stash of numismatic leftovers and other dross because you need to...

5. Bring an item to feed the auction. We're looking for contributions in the $5-10 range. You're certainly welcome to bring more, however, if you're feeling that overwhelmed by generosity please consider a contribution to the newly-created Blogger Accumulating Retirement Fund. And, yes, I know the acronym for that would be BARF but don't let that stop you.

5a. All contributions to BARF are very much not tax deductible.

6. Did I mention that we're starting the meeting at 7?

Hope to see everybody there on the 13th. At 7.
